Bushbuck Clothing for farming & fieldsports

BRAND STORY

Bushbuck

Bushbuck makes unisex farming and fieldsports clothing that earns its keep. Founded in New Zealand in 2012 by people who hunt and work the land themselves, every piece is designed to handle real conditions - from windswept hillsides to wet autumn mornings in the field. Tough, practical, and built to last.

Clothes Built for the field

If you spend any serious time outdoors working the land in all weathers, stalking deer through the hills or simply heading out into the countryside - you'll quickly appreciate kit that actually does what it promises. That's exactly what Bushbuck is about.

Founded in 2012 in Christchurch, New Zealand, Bushbuck has grown from a small hunting-focused brand into one of the most trusted names in farming, outdoor and fieldsports clothing. The people behind Bushbuck are hunters and outdoor enthusiasts themselves, and that shows in everything they make.

All Bushbuck clothing is designed and rigorously tested in New Zealand's rugged wilderness, one of the world's most demanding outdoor environments. If it can handle what New Zealand throws at it, it's more than ready for the British countryside.

Defender: Our best seller

It's no coincidence that the Defender is our most popular Bushbuck product. This is a serious all-weather system built around Bushbuck's Stormarc technology - a three-layer technical fabric that's waterproof, windproof, breathable, and tough enough to take a beating in the bush or on the farm. With a 10,000mm waterproof rating and fully seam-sealed, DWR-treated construction, the Defender keeps you dry even when the weather is doing its worst.

The outer layer is 500D Oxford Nylon - a proper heavy-duty fabric that shrugs off thorns, fences, and rough terrain rather than snagging and tearing. The Defender comes as a jacket, waterproof trousers, or bib overtrousers (bib and braces), and the whole range is cut to work just as well for women as men. Every piece of gear is designed to solve real problems in real conditions, such as the wet, cold, windy days that we get in the UK.

Why we stock Bushbuck

The people behind the Bushbuck brand are hunters and outdoor workers themselves, and you can feel that in the details - the 500D Oxford Nylon on the Defender definitely defends against thorns and snags. The unisex cuts actually work for both men and women, and the range of layers work together as a system rather than a thoughtless collection of separate products.

Our customers tend to become Bushbuck converts quickly. They pick up the Defender jacket and instantly understand its quality and benefits. Plus they stay dry, and come back for the trousers. It's the kind of brand that earns repeat business the old-fashioned way - by doing exactly what it promises.
